Overview

TripTify is a standalone Android app that alerts you when you are near a destination you choose. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

Information we collect

Location data: When you start a trip, TripTify uses your device GPS to calculate distance to your destination. Location is used only during an active trip.

Saved data on your device: Favorite places, your last destination, alert distance, and alarm preferences are stored locally on your phone.

Search queries: When you search for a place, your query (and optionally your approximate location to improve results) is sent to OpenStreetMap services (Nominatim and Photon).

Advertising data: TripTify shows banner ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data according to Google's policies.

How we use information

Location is used solely to monitor your distance during an active trip and trigger alarms, notifications, and vibration when you are near your stop. We do not operate a backend server, create user accounts, or sell your personal data.

Data sharing

No other third parties receive your trip or location data from us.

Data retention

Trip monitoring data exists only while a trip is active. Favorites and settings remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall.

Your choices

You can deny location or notification permissions, though the app will not work fully without them during a trip. You can delete favorites and reset settings in the app, or remove all data via Android Settings → Apps → TripTify → Storage.

Children

TripTify is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version will be available on this page and in the app.
